‘Pussycat Doll’ Has Future On Bar Mitzvah Party Circuit

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Melissa Smith might not have what it takes to be a Pussycat Doll, but she's raising the bar – at bar and bat mitzvahs.

The Pussycat wannabe was kicked off the show Tuesday (Apr. 19), and she’s happy she can fall back on her career as an “interactive dancer” at bar mitzvahs.

Smith admits she’s garnered quite a cult following from the show and as a contestant on Diddy’s MTV reality show Making The Band 3, and it’s helped her get the crowds out on the dance floor during events.

She explains: “It’s my job to try to get everybody – grandpas and people sitting down – to get up and dance. It’s lots of fun and my TV work has helped.”

However, her celebrity status does get in the way at times.

For example, at a recent gig she had to stop what she was doing because she had 20 little kids surrounding her for autographs.

As she puts it, “It was cute because they look at me like a star.”
