‘American Idol’ Most Talked-About Show At Work

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – What did you think about last night’s episode of American Idol?

Well, no matter what you think, chances are, you’ll be discussing it with your coworkers today.

That’s because a new survey by the Spherion Corporation reveals that 37 percent of American employees talk about American Idol at work.

Women are more likely than men to discuss the show on company time, 27 percent to 15 percent.

Other shows that are popular work topics include Grey’s Anatomy, which is discussed by 17 percent of workers.

  • 11 percent spend hours of worktime dissecting 24.

  • 10 percent analyze C.S.I. on the job.

  • 8 percent talk about House, and the same percentage finds that Lost is a good watercooler topic.

  • 6 percent enjoy recounting episodes of Heroes, and the same number gabs about The Office.

  • Finally, 3 percent of American worker love blabbing about America’s Next Top Model.
