Pageants And ‘Charm School’ Make Mo’Nique Less Judgmental

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – It’s a busy time for comedienne Mo’Nique. She’s busy helping her fellow women with not one, but two shows.

Mo’Nique is currently hosting Flavor Of Love Girls: Charm School on VH-1, where she helps Flavor Flav’s former girlfriends learn social graves.

In addition, she’s organizing the casting call for Mo’Nique’s F.A.T. Chance, a plus-sized beauty pageant airing this summer on the Oxygen Network.

The casting call for curvy cuties began this past Saturday (Apr. 14) in Los Angeles and will be followed with similar searches in Chicago on Thursday (Apr. 19) and Dallas on Saturday (Apr. 21).

Mo’Nique says this year, the BBWs will fly to Paris for a fashion show and she admits being in the City of Lights could be a huge experience for both the femmes and the Frenchies.

As she puts it, “I’ve been there once and I didn’t see a lot of big people there. I think it’s because the portions are smaller. I got hungry halfway through my meal.”

Although the pageant and the charm school are supposed to help out Mo’Nique’s fellow females, she says she gets the real benefit.

She admits: “Doing both these shows has taught me to become less judgmental.”
