Jaclyn Smith Dares To Change Her Hair

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Jaclyn Smith has always sported long, classic brown locks, but now she’s daring to change up her ‘do for reality TV.

Smith – who starred on the original Charlie’s Angels – is now hosting a new Bravo series called Shear Genius, where hair gurus compete to be the ultimate hairstylist.

During the show, Smith enjoyed styling her own hair differently every week, but admits she’s still most comfortable with her signature natural, long-layered hair because it’s easy to maintain.

Says Smith: “This cut just works for me. Plus, I hate putting a lot of time into my hair, and I don’t ever want to be a slave to it!”

Smith prays she doesn’t have any hair disasters on the show and insists she’ll stay away from any big 70’s hairstyles to prevent catastrophes.

Says Smith: “I had a horrible ducktail style when I was younger, and I don’t want to go through that again.”

Another style Smith won’t sport on the show: “The Farrah.”

She adds, “Farrah [Fawcett] hair had a life of its own and Farrah was perfect for it because she owned that style. The wings, the color, everything about it was luscious, but it’s definitely not for me!”

Shear Genius premieres next Wednesday (Apr. 11).
