Human Meals Will Help Keep Your Pet Alive

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If the recent pet food recall has you thinking twice about what you feed Fido or Mittens, try making the food yourself.

It’s the cat’s meow according to Florida-based pet chef Andi Brown, who says you can save your dog or cat’s life by having it eat dinner with you.

Brown pooh-poohs canned or dried pet food because it is full of disease-ridden feces, bird beaks and roadkill.

That’s why she insists the only way to make sure your pet is truly safe is to cook their meals yourself.

Brown says cats and dogs go crazy for human foods like vegetables, chicken and whole grains, but recommends to go easy on the salt and the spices.

The main thing she says is to give the pets food that meets your personal culinary standards.

Says Brown: “Our pets are eating things we would never get near our own mouths and that’s just wrong – You are what you eat and the same goes for your pets.”
