Chris Daughtry: ‘My Kids Say I Sing Too Loud’

SEATTLE (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Former American Idol finalist Chris Daughtry has tons of fans who love his voice, but his own kids don’t exactly feel the same way.

That’s the word from the Idol, who is currently riding high thanks to the success of his debut album Daughtry.

Still, he admits he hasn’t been as successful when it comes to singing to his own kids.

Daughtry says he used to make up songs and sing them to his kids when they were younger, but admits they aren’t impressed with his singing nowadays.

Says Daughtry: “They’re pretty much over it. I used to sing them ‘Amazing Grace’ before bed, but I think I’ve sung too much and they’re done.”

He adds, “Now every time I try to sing to them they yell, ‘You’re too loud, Daddy!”’

Despite his harsh, young critics, Daughtry plans to “keep playing music, write meaningful songs, put on a good tour, and thank my fans every day.”
