When It Comes To Aphrodisiacs, Seasonal Is Best

WACO, Texas (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The way to a person’s sex organs may be through the stomach.

That’s the premise of The New Intercourses: An Aphrodisiac Cookbook (Terrace Publishing), which features all sorts of recipes for foods with alleged aphrodisiac qualities.

Some are well known, such as chocolate or oysters. Others, such as pine nuts, have stimulating effects that aren’t as widely reported.

For instance, co-author Martha Hopkins knows at least three couples who hooked up after eating dishes with pine nuts such as “angel hair pasta with fennel pesto.”

Hopkins also says black beans have a rep for increasing fertility, but she recommends serving them in moderation since they also increase gas.

Most foods with aphrodisiac qualities need to be eaten, but says wearing a skirt made from asparagus and wire provides a similar effect, as does a bikini made from smoked salmon.

As she puts it, “If your lover doesn’t get turned on seeing you wrapped in nothing but smoked salmon, I don’t know if ANYTHING will.”
