Yoga Not A Stretch For ‘24’ Star

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Acting on a hit TV show can stretch your schedule to the max, but it’s even harder when you’re also teaching yoga classes.

That’s the timely dilemma facing 24 cast member James Morrison, who plays CTU head Bill Buchanan.

When he isn’t working with series star Kiefer Sutherland, Buchanan teaches yoga classes in Los Angeles.

Morrison came to yoga in an unusual way back in the ’90s. He was working in a circus and damaged his back being chased by Mexican dwarfs.

But he really started taking yoga seriously after his son was born eight years ago and, as he puts it, “I felt I needed to be reborn so I could be more present in his life.”

The yoga has helped in other ways as well. He says he prepares for his scenes in 24 by meditating. In his words, “I simply accept that I am Bill Buchanan.”

Although yoga is a big passion of Morrison, he also has a lot of love for 24 and jokes: “Metaphysically speaking, it’s the best sex I’ve ever had.”
