Rachel Leigh Cook Doesn’t Mind Being Gamers Leading Lady

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Rachel Leigh Cook is enjoying her role as a video game vixen – mainly because she doesn’t have to dress up to go to work.

Tonight (Dec. 13), Cook is up for the Best Supporting Female Performance at Spike TV’s 2006 Video Game Awards for her work in Kingdom Hearts II and she admits she loved the job.

One key reason: “You don’t have to worry about hitting your mark and looking half way decent when you walk into the studio” to record for a video game.

She adds: “You get to go in your sweats, throw your voice around and have a lot of fun and meet people who really love games.”

The former She’s All That star says she’s also discovered a whole new fan base since she started lending her voice to animated characters.

And frankly, she loves the attention from gamers.

Says Cook: “They are so loyal to your projects and games. They certainly take it more seriously than people take most movies.”
