Tony Bennett Thrilled With New Class Of Singers

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Tony Bennett turned 80 this past August but you won’t hear this senior citizen griping about today’s music or today’s singers.

Bennett worked with top pop singers like John Legend and Christina Aguilera for his upcoming NBC special and is pleased with how seriously the new generation of singers takes their craft.

He says singers like Aguilera and especially Legend and Canadian crooner Michael Buble are so “professional and prepared” that their talents will stand the test of time.

As he puts it, “They’re not fading out.”

Neither is Bennett. His NBC special, Tony Bennett: An American Classic, airs Nov. 21 and uses celebrity duets and choreographed number to depict dramatic moments from his life.
