Victim Just Wants Her License Plate Back

HEALDSBURG, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A woman is in Healdsburg, California, is being driven crazy thanks to some net nerds who stole her a vanity license plate declaring her to be a “Web Geek.”

Dori Smith has owned her precious “Web Geek” vanity plate since 1999 and she has no idea who would steal the license plate off of her Mazda Miata.

Still, whoever they are, she thinks they should be called “Web Jerks.”

The geeky plate has sentimental value to Smith because it’s in her wedding photos and she received it right after she wrote her first computer guide book.

Smith doesn’t believe anyone intentionally tried to hurt her but suspects the burglars are computer nerds from the Silicon Valley who thought the “Web Geek” plate would “look good on their office wall.”

Despite her sadness, Smith believes the plate will “show up at my door without a return address.”

However, she admits she may be “just out of luck” if no one ‘fesses up to the crime because the DMV wont issue her the same plates.
