Winning Reality Show Superhero Sends His Character Off To College

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – It’s one thing to create your superhero. It’s another to give it up to the world.

Just ask software engineer Matthew Atherton, the winner of the Sci Fi Channel reality show, Who Wants To Be A Superhero?

Atherton won the top prize – a comic book dedicated to his character, Feedback, who has the ability to emulate powers used in videogames.

Of course, creating the character wasn’t much of a stretch. Atherton says “Feedback is 99 percent me – except for the super powers.”

The first Feedback comic will be released in October and Atherton admits what happens to his hero is no longer in his hands.

As he puts it, “I see it as sort of sending Feedback off to college.”

Although that means that the artists and writers involved in the making of the book could change the character around, Atherton believes “lots of fans will be disappointed if there’s too much change.”
