‘Rock Star: Supernova’ Bootee Rolled Over Doing Covers

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Singer Chris Pierson may have been rolled off Rock Star: Supernova, but he still wants to help band members and producers make the best show possible.

Pierson says that Supernova band members may be confusing contestants because they have “a lot of uncertainty” about what their music will sound like, or what kind of singer they want for the band.

Plus, he says the format of having singers audition with well- known songs doesn’t give Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted and Gilby Clarke much of an opportunity to see who they “vibe with” the best.

Pierson understands that the TV audience wants to hear familiar tunes, but says all of the remaining singers see themselves as unique, original artists.

He believes contestants and the band would be better off jamming together on new songs, instead.

Still, he admits, “90 seconds of original material might not be enough time for fans to decide who they want.”
