Subways’ Hottie Chick Bass Player Too Busy For Her Own Buzz

LONDON, England (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – She may be every power- pop fan’s ultimate little “Rock and Roll Queen,” but the bass player and muse of the band the Subways says she’s clueless as to what all the buzz is about.

Charlotte Cooper is not only the girlfriend/inspiration to Subways frontman Billy Lunn, she’s also the band’s most obvious marketing tool – after their music and acclaimed live shows, that is.

The blond, barely 20-year-old Cooper began playing bass in the earliest incarnation of the Subways at the tender age of 13, something that makes for great ink in music tabloids.

But Cooper says touring behind their chart-climbing debut is “too time consuming” to make her overly awkward about all the rock critics’ fuss.

In her words, “We haven’t really had time to follow what’s being said or not said about us. [Billy] and I just agree not to tell anyone anything we wouldn’t want others to know.”

The Subways’ summer tour begins June 22 in Jackson, New Jersey.
