Thats what folks whove had to play with Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys have had to do, and now the members of the up and coming Australian alternative rock band The Vines are facing a similar challenge.
Vines drummer Hamish Rosser admits its not easy dealing with the mood swings and erratic behavior of frontman Craig Nicholls, who was recently diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome, a form of autism.
Says Rosser: Its interesting to know Brian Wilson has Aspergers too, because if you listen closely, Craigs songs have so much of the same layered, rich melodies of the Beach Boys, one of his favorite bands.
The Vines new disc, Vision Valley, is already receiving critical acclaim and Rosser says that despite his bandmates condition, the band is looking forward to touring again.
In Rossers words, Getting Craig to stop smoking pot was a good thing, cause that wasnt helping his condition or anyone else.
