Your MySpace Page Can Prevent You From Getting Into College

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – is giving many Americans a chance to put themselves online but it may also keep teens from getting into a good school.

Communications expert Laurie Puhn says many college admissions officers are now trolling looking for reasons to reject applicants.

Puhn says university bigwigs especially look down on webpages by people who curse or list their sexual exploits in detail.

Also, mentioning preferences in races, religions or drugs on myspace turns off the academia nuts and posting a photo of yourself in a skimpy swimsuit is also a touchy issue.

Even worse: Puhn has seen youngsters who were rejected because they admitted on the site that they “don’t like helping other people.”

Although the web page is becoming a way people express their personalities, Puhn says it’s best “not to post anything you don’t want your grandma to see.”
