Rapper Lord Jamar Makes Up ‘Everything’ On The Sopranos

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Rapper Lord Jamar of hip hop heroes Brand Nubian got to freestyle in a different way during Sunday night’s (Apr. 2) episode of The Sopranos.

Jamar played a fictional gangster rapper dubbed “Da Lux,” who was hospitalized alongside Tony Soprano and a philosophical rocket scientist played by Hal Holbrook.

It was a straight acting role but Jamar improvised a little. In fact, his character’s key line, “ Everything is everything”’ is his creation.

Jamar explains: “We did an album of the same name, and the situation just fit – so yeah, I came up with that.”

It isn’t Jamar’s first time on HBO. He also appeared on the prison series Oz, and says his ad-libbed line came easily with the themes written into his scene.

Meanwhile, Jamar claims that spirituality and mathematics are topics also tackled in his upcoming solo record, The 5% Album, which is set for release June 27.
