Pennington says the damage from Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma has caused such utter devastation that the effort to rebuild homes in Gulf Coast communities could easily fill a seasons worth of Home Edition episodes.
He says that the current workload for the show is already packed but theres so much more that needs to be done that a spin-off season would be a great idea.
However, Pennington admits hes only one of the guys who makes the decisions about who to help and where to go for each episode of Home Edition.
It hasnt been easy rebuilding in the aftermath of the hurricanes. As Pennington puts it, It was really rough pulling up to fix one house on a street where all the houses have been destroyed.
Although Pennington believes the spirit of community is still alive in the Gulf region, he admits visiting the area ...is scary because it really looks like the end of the world.
