Thats because the top four finalists of Icelandic Idol are invading the U.S. to perform in Boston.
The singing Scandinavians making the journey range in age from 17 to 28 and Icelandic Idol producer Dalla Jonsdottir believes they have the chops to make a noteworthy impression with the American audience as well.
She says Icelandic government helps aspiring musicians so aspiring idols are well prepared for the rigors of the show.
So far, contestants have had to sing everything from Icelandic pop songs from the 1950s to disco to what Jonsdottir refers to as hippie music.
She says one of the upcoming shows will focus on country music so the Icelandic idol wannabes will be using the Boston visit to soak up the flavor.
But while she expects the idols to get a flavor for American music while in Boston, they wont be getting a true flavor of the culture.
Jonsdottir jokes, Theyll be eating lobster instead of burgers.
