Bubble Gum Artist Gives Art Lovers Something To Chew On

TORONTO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – An artist who turns chewed bubble gum into portraits of famous blondes has gotten one gallery to bite.

Jason Kronenwald will be displaying new “Gum Blondes” portraits at a gallery in Toronto called Le Gallery starting today (Mar. 14).

Kronenwald says most of the portraits will be new, never- before-seen works including Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, Lil’ Kim and Nancy Sinatra.

Each portrait takes about 40 hours to complete, and Kronenwald says he’s been working on the collection since December.

In case you’re wondering whether his chewing gum loses its flavor on his canvas overnight, Kronenwald says his Gum Blondes are covered in epoxy resin to preserve them.
