20-Month-Old Toddler Already A Jazz Drummer

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – A drummer in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, is making jazz giants go “Oh baby.”

Little Julian Pavone is only 20 months old but his drumming chops have impressed some experienced jazz musicians so much that he’s been hailed as the reincarnation of legendary drummer Tony Williams.

That pleases Julian’s Dad, Bernadino Pavone, who says his son can actually play in time signatures like 7/4, which are difficult even for professionals.

Julian first started playing the drums when he was three months old when his Daddy held him on his lap with drumsticks.

His stickmanship has improved so much since then that he not only plays on the drumline at Cleveland Cavaliers basketball games, he’s about to release his first CD, Go Baby, which features the toddler jamming on fusion jazz songs with bassist Ralphe Armstrong, who has played with Aretha Franklin, Frank Zappa and BB King.

Julian might be young, but his Dad has big plans for his pint- sized prodigy, who he figures can introduce the joys of fusion jazz to a much younger audience.
