‘Bachelor’ Host Loves Show, But Hopes Daughter Won’t Be Contestant

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Chris Harrison may host the ABC reality series, The Bachelor, but that doesn’t mean he wants his daughter as a contestant.

Harrison admits, “I don’t think any father wants his daughter to find love on a reality show. It may be a double standard, but if it was my son I don’t think I’d mind as much.”

Luckily, he doesn’t have to worry for a while, since his daughter is only four right now and his son is two.

As host, Harrison’s job is to “be there for the participants” and he hopes anyone who goes on the show “is honest and sincere about their intentions. I don’t expect them to be under the delusion of a fairy tale, but you should be there for sincere reasons.”

And with good reason. Harrison says some contestants try to fake their way through the show but promises, “You’re always shown for who you really are.”

The Bachelor has its season finale on Monday (Feb. 27).
