The Price Is Still Right After 34 Years

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – For 34 years, Bob Barker has been giving out luxurious cars, boats and dishwashers to eager participants on the game show The Price Is Right.

But his biggest fans weren’t even born when the show started.

The 82-year-old host is proud that his show is especially popular with the college crowd, but admits he’s clueless as to why.

Still, Barker says if he ever figures it out, he will “sell the recipe because that’s the kind of information networks are dying to figure out.”

Barker says there hasn’t been a single studio audience in the last eight years that hasn’t had some sort of college representation.

As he puts it, “They bring tremendous energy to the show” and claims the older guests love their antics. Despite the rowdiness of the crowd, Barker says no one has ever gotten kicked off the set and all the students are “ladies and gentlemen.”

The Price Is Right airs daily on CBS but a primetime special, The Price Is Right Million Dollar Spectacular airs Tuesday (Feb. 14).
