The three run a party planning service called Rent-A-Midget, which books pint-sized performers who do everything from stripteases to stand-up comedy.
Co-owner Chris Fetterer says he and his pals came up with the idea after agreeing that having a midget at a party definitely makes it more fun and now they book gigs for five performing little people in the Southern California region.
Rent-A-Midget does everything from elf to leprechaun shows, as well as Cupid impersonations for Valentines Day, when a little person dresses up and gives your sweetheart some flowers. Midget Superbowl parties where the performer serves drinks each time the favored team scores a touchdown are also big hits.
Fetterer says the performers love being paid to entertain and get $100 for a midgetgram and up to $2000 for a more extensive performance.
But getting rich off of midgets may be a tall order.
As Fetterer puts it, We make almost nothing off the events we do. We just do it because its fun.
