Americans Don’t Want Charity At Christmas

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Charity may begin at home but it should be ignored when it’s time to buy Christmas gifts.

That’s the major finding from a new poll from Yahoo! Shopping which asked Americans to name the worst gift ideas.

Nearly half (47 percent) say their least favorite gift is a charitable donation made in their name while 29 percent hate receiving food or booze for Christmas.

Meanwhile, 23 percent don’t like getting clothing as a present, and 22 percent say thumbs down to handmade gifts.

Finally, 86 percent of Americans admit they’ve received gifts they didn’t like but 77 percent of those people admit they pretended it was “just what I wanted.”
