The groups leader, Paul Green, has collected all the permission slips and drug and alcohol waivers and says his proteges aged 11 to 17 years old are ready to play plenty of rockin holiday songs, ...if you consider Metallica Christmas tunes.
The group will split in two in order to hit different East and Midwest U.S. cities beginning in New York City and Fall River, Massachusetts, on Dec. 26 and ending with one final show in Philadelphia on Dec. 31.
Green says the kids will be performing everything from AC/DC to the Sugar Hill Gang, but unlike the Jack Black movie, School Of Rock, he insists the students had nothing to do with the song selection for this tour.
In his words, Does Harvard let you pick what books to read?
To be honest, he says, School of Rock was a typical Hollywood stereotypical piece of crap.
