Real-Life School Of Rock Embarking On Holiday Tour

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Thirty-eight students from the East Coast-based Paul Green School of Rock may be home for Christmas, but the day after, they’ll be rocking out on their “Gone For The Holidays Tour.”

The group’s leader, Paul Green, has collected all the permission slips and drug and alcohol waivers and says his proteges – aged 11 to 17 years old – are ready to play plenty of rockin’ holiday songs, “...if you consider Metallica Christmas tunes.”

The group will split in two in order to hit different East and Midwest U.S. cities – beginning in New York City and Fall River, Massachusetts, on Dec. 26 and ending with one final show in Philadelphia on Dec. 31.

Green says the kids will be performing “everything from AC/DC to the Sugar Hill Gang,” but unlike the Jack Black movie, School Of Rock, he insists the students had nothing to do with the song selection for this tour.

In his words, “Does Harvard let you pick what books to read?”

To be honest, he says, School of Rock was a “typical Hollywood stereotypical piece of crap.”
