‘Aristocrats’ Director Happy Dirty Jokes Cross All Boards

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – The documentary The Aristocrats is getting a reputation as the dirtiest comedy ever made, but director Paul Provenza feels the movie has lots of redeeming value.

The soundtrack album has just been released and Provenza says listening to George Carlin, Whoopi Goldberg and Bob Saget tell the same joke in their own way is a perfect way for wannabe comics to learn comedy.

Now, many of the comics who appear in the movie – including Sarah Silverman, Andy Dick and Jason Alexander – will get a chance to tell it again on Monday (Dec. 12), when they appear at a Hollywood movie theater to discuss the film in front of a live audience.

The filmed discussion will then be shown in theaters coast-to- coast on Jan. 23, one day before The Aristocrats hits DVD.

Some people have suggested Provenza film psychiatrists analyzing the comics’ renditions of the dirty joke but he warns people not to look too deeply into how a comic tells a dirty joke because, “It’s about creativity. After all, Stephen King never killed anyone.”
