John Ratzenberger: ‘American Made Will Never Die’

SPRING VALLEY, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – People who think Americans don’t manufacture anything worthwhile anymore will get an argument from John Ratzenberger.

Ratzenberger – best known as know-it-all postman Cliff Clavin on Cheers – hosts the Travel Channel’s Made In America series which launched its third season last night (Dec. 6).

This season, Ratzenberger takes viewers to 60 different American companies including 3M Scotch Tape, Caterpillar Bulldozers, Fender Guitars and Silly Putty.

Ratzenberger – who was taping at the Deering Banjo manufacturer in Spring Valley, California, just yesterday – says the show will never run out of “quality companies” to profile.

As he explains it, some things are so American that they’ll never be off-shored.

In Ratzenberger’s words, “You’ll never see a Chinese name on a child’s little league uniform.”

Made In America airs Tuesday nights.
