New CD Offers ‘Doo Wop Side Of The Moon’

CHICAGO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – You’ve probably heard the Pink Floyd CD, Dark Side Of The Moon but now some vocal supporters of the album are doing their own a cappella version.

The all-voices Floyd tribute is being sung by a Chicago-based group called Voices Of The Dark Side and leader Freddie Feldman says the unspeakably difficult recording has been in the works for four years.

Although the a cappella album matches up closely with the original, there are some vocal variations. For instance, the version of “Money” begins with the sound of throat clearing rather than cash registers.

Also, Feldman claims the vocal version matches up with The Wizard Of Oz almost as well as the original.

Dark Side Of The Moon A Cappella hits stores Dec. 1 and, if successful, Feldman hopes to try vocal variations of other classic albums such as 2112 by Rush and Green Day’s American Idiot.
