Concerned Parent Makes Heavy Metal For Kids

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Some parents are concerned if their kids listen to heavy metal but a father in Los Angeles is more worried they aren’t rocking out enough.

So Alan Flores created an adult heavy metal band for kids, Thunderlords, which just released its debut album, Noisy Songs For Noisy Kids.

The band’s look has a Viking theme but the kid-friendly songs are based on more universal topics with titles like “I Like Dirt,” and “Ice Cream Headache.”

Flores – the father of two young kids – says his kids love Metallica and AC/DC but admits there are some tunes he’d rather they not hear.

So he modeled his band on The Wiggles – a group he says writes music that kids and adults can appreciate – but made it loud and squealy.

Now, Flores is planning a stage show that he figures will make the preschool set bang their heads and their metal-mad parents happy.

He does admit there’s a potential downside to making metal for young ’uns: They might rebel when they’re older and start listening to really mellow music.
