Brain Expert Comes Up With Dotty Exercises To Increase Intelligence

HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – If you gave up connect-the-dots in preschool, a brain expert has a good reason for you to take it up again.

Donalee Markus has developed a cognitive-building exercise program for the brain, using dots and symbols to improve the brain.

The exercises are available for free on her website,, and are spatial orientation puzzles similar to ones on IQ tests.

They’re even used by NASA rocket scientists and, as Markus puts it, “Exercises of the brain are analogous to exercising the body.”

Markus says people who practice the exercises will recognize the changes such as an increased propensity for risk taking and they won’t be so stressed out when they have to do something outside of their normal routine – like following a detour sign.
