Chuck Norris: Making The World Safe From Kim Jong-Il

DALLAS (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Chuck Norris is returning to TV with a new Walker, Texas Ranger movie but, this time, he’s tackling world politics.

Walker went off the air in 2001 but CBS will air Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial By Jury on Oct. 16. Since it’s the first new episode in more than three years, Norris decided to try something new and have the plot deal with something topical.

Therefore, his character battles three North Korean assassins who are trying to steal an aerospace guide mechanism component for that country’s dictator, Kim Jong-Il.

Although Jong-Il is a big figure right now, dealing with his shenanigans wasn’t the biggest challenge for Norris. Instead, it was dealing with his fight scenes.

As he puts it, “The level of violence in the fights is based on how bad the villains are,” and says the fact that the assassins come from a country with a strong martial arts background made him go all out in the fight scenes.

No word on how Jong-Il will like the movie – or if he’ll even see it – but Norris is hoping ratings are good enough that he gets to film two TV-movies a year.
