First Date Kisses Most Common In The South

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Monday (Sep. 19) marks the beginning of National Singles Week and if you want to really take advantage of it, move to the southern U.S.

According to a new singles survey by Yahoo! Personals, southern people are the folks most willing to kiss on a first date. They lock lips 49 percent of the time.

Meanwhile, the most tight-lipped singles live in the west: They won’t kiss on 60 percent of their first dates.

Other tips for increasing your chances of a first date kiss include dating people who are in their early ’50s. They smooch on a first date 54 percent of the time, compared to only 27 percent of kids under the age of 18.

Finally, it’s possible that women have slightly looser lips then men: 49 percent of women will kiss on a first date but only 46 percent of men would get that lippy.
