Tommy Hilfiger Has Designs On Surprise Catchphrase

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Tommy Hilfiger has designs on making his new reality show a success – but don’t expect him to have an obvious catchphrase a la Donald Trump in The Apprentice.

Hilfiger’s new CBS show, The Cut, centers around 16 style-savvy contestants vying for a chance to work with the designer, with one fashionista being cut away each week.

Naturally, Hilfiger has a catchphrase prepared that he hopes becomes as ubiquitous as “You’re fired” has for Trump, but he refuses to say something obvious.

Hilfiger says he’s keeping his lips sewn tight until The Cut debuts on June 9 because he wants it to be a surprise.

He isn’t giving any hints but promises it “won’t use the name of the show, such as ‘You’re cut.’”

The winner of the show will not only work with Hilfiger, he or she will also be responsible for designing “a new global lifestyle brand.”
