Chris Rock Is A Sports Movie Misfit

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Chris Rock is a good sport but he’s a bad athlete. In fact, he’s so bad that, in pickup basketball games, he gets chosen AFTER all the white guys.

Rock says he used to get picked before the white players but that was only because people “did not know any better.” He says when white players see him play, they react like they’ve “just seen the Loch Ness monster.”

In his words, “They are like, ‘We heard you existed, but we never thought we’d see you.’”

Rock appears in the sports comedy, The Longest Yard, but doesn’t play football in the film. But he admits that if he had been required to bulk up, he would have considered taking steroids because, as he puts it, “If you could take a pill to be better at your job, who would not take a pill? Who?”

The Longest Yard – which also stars Adam Sandler and Burt Reynolds – opens May 27.
