Michael Cifone has lived in this situation the last six months to save money, and hes one of three finalists hoping his sob story will win him $15,000 in the Room to Move Contest held by Apartments.com
Still, the 28-year-old says he doesnt know whats worse: the small living quarters, being startled awake every time the dryer buzzer goes off or the one time he saw his 85-year-old grandmom wearing only her sneakers.
Besides the unpleasant sights, noises, and claustrophobic feeling, Cifone believes hes slowly turning into his grandmom and his 60-year-old mom, with whom he also lives.
Case in point: He now watches soap operas with a blanket wrapped around him and always finishes dinner before 5 p.m.
Voting for the contest ends at apartments.com on May 20, and Cifone says hell win because compared to him, the competition doesnt have it that bad.
