Darth Vader: ‘Luke, I Am Your Father, Son And Holy Ghost’

SEATTLE (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Not many folks like to be pressured into religion, but they may enjoy being “forced” into it.

That’s what author Dick Staub discovered while writing his new book Christian Wisdom of the Jedi Masters (Jossey Bass) that compares Star Wars wisdom to Christianity.

He says today’s generation wants to be Jedi Christians – meaning they are dissatisfied with religion but hunger for a spiritual quest.

As Staub told one of his friends, “It’s like you want to be a ‘Jedi Christian’ and my generation didn’t produce a Yoda.”

From there, he found a number of similarities between Christians and the Jedi: they both believe there’s power in blood and that there is an unseen force that controls the universe.

Staub isn’t recommending forgoing church to watch Star Wars movies, but he says he’s reminded of the story of Balaam’s Ass in the Old Testament where God speaks to Balaam through his donkey.

He says, “God speaks through whatever it takes.”
