New York Woman Runs Reality ‘Show-tel’

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Lots of hotels have rooms with a view but a woman in New York has some rooms with a view of reality show stars.

Linda Coughlin runs MetroHome.com, which rents out fully furnished apartments in various Big Apple neighborhoods.

Her company is popular with business travelers and vacationers, but the reality is, she’s working out a niche renting apartments to reality show production companies.

Coughlin’s apartments have been used by the cast and crew of shows like The Apprentice, Wife Swap and MTV’s Making The Band and, currently, the employees of two British reality show companies that are filming in New York.

She figures reality show biz types prefer her apartments to hotels because the rooms are set up more like homes and allow guests to become part of the fabric of their neighborhood.

So far, Coughlin isn’t capitalizing on couch potato tourists – and keeps her client base confidential. However, she says customers can request to stay in rooms that were homes to various Apprentice wannabes and other reality show alums.
