DJ-ing Is Back-Breaking Work

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Disc jockeys break their backs trying to play good music for people to enjoy – and we’re not talking about their work ethic.

According to 18-year veteran of the DJ circuit, “DJ Smurf,” what many people don’t know about DJs is that they can come down with back problems if they’re not careful.

He says carrying musical equipment and lugging tons of CDs up to a DJ booth can be as hard as making people in the club dance to the beats.

Smurf says the back-breaking work was worse years before when “you had to carry crates full of records and not the binders of CDs they have now.”

The trick to the problem is to “have a lot of friends” who will do it for you, he says.

Now, Smurf is carrying a heavy load in a different way, as he’s the resident producer for the rap group Ying Yang Twins.
