Women Fear Colorful Dress

Tuesday, March 30, 2010 17:11 GMT

AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One dress is provoking great fear in women around the world.

Dutch designer Michiel Schuurman has effectively co-created the world’s scariest piece of clothing with his “Colour-In Dress,” which features a geometric pattern meant to be colored in with markers that come with the ensemble.

Schuurman thinks many women who purchase the dress “don’t dare to color it in” because of its hefty pricetag of $336.

He says, “The have to pay a lot for it, so when they get it they get a little stage fright. They’re also afraid to color it because it would take a long time to fill it.”

Schuurman says that although the color is permanent, there’s nothing to fear because no matter how the fabric is colored it “can’t be messed up.”

If anything, a sloppy color job “adds to the experience” and gives the apparel a more interesting look.
