Bacon Spread Is The New Crack

Friday, March 26, 2010 17:20 GMT

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – There’s a tasty new drug on the market that people just can’t get enough of.

Bacon Marmalade was an accidental culinary creation made by Ross Hutchison, a chef based in New York City.

After burning a piece of bacon, he ended up adding vinegar and sugar to the charred pork which turned into a delicious paste- like spread.

Now, his accident in the kitchen has become a serious addiction for his customers.

Hutchison explains, “A friend of mine was here while I was making it one day and his eyes lit up when he tasted it. He said it was like crack.”

Another fan compulsively eats the bacon spread straight out of the jar whenever she needs a pick-me-up.

Hutchison insists Bacon Marmalade is “meant to be enjoyed simply” so he doesn’t judge.

Since each jar is packed with half a pound of bacon, naturally, bacon lovers are hooked.
