NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – One comedian is challenging the public to take his jokes – please – and actually make them work.David Angelo admits that many of his cheesy jokes fall flat in front of live audiences but if others think they can do any better with his material, they’re welcome to try.
Now through May 31, he’s urging people to submit videos of themselves reciting his least successful jokes at codenamejoke.com.
Whoever can put a new spin on his gags and make them funnier will win $500 straight from Angelo’s wallet.
But it won’t be easy since Angelo’s zingers – riddled with nerdy puns and “uncool” wordplay – are an acquired taste.
One of his jokes that’s begging for a make-over goes like this: “I’d hate to be the maid at Bill Gates’ house. It’s all windows!”
Angelo believes the secret to a successful joke is committment. That means no hesitation in the delivery, no matter how stupid the punchline.
