Festive Leprechauns For Hire
Tuesday, March 9, 2010 16:04 GMT
CHINO, Calif. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) Little leprechauns are big business on St. Patricks Day (Mar. 17).Just ask Chris Fetterer, founder of tinyentertainment.com, a company that books midgets to perform at parties and bars.
Fetterer says business booms around St. Paddys Day because everyone wants to hire a leprechaun for their bash.
For $200 an hour, one of his pint-sized performers will dress up in green garb, chug beers, and attempt to dance Irish jigs.
The little leprechauns will even speak in Irish accents, though they sometimes wind up sounding more Australian or Russian.
Even when theyre in high demand, the coveted little people accommodate as many party requests as possible, like a bar that wanted a leprechaun to walk around slapping customers and shoving shots down their throats.
Fetterer says his midgets will do just about anything including leprechaun wrestling as long as its not degrading and theyre in on the fun, not just being laughed at.
