Dead Animals Are Fashion-Forward

LONDON (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) A dead pigeon makes a killer fashion accessory. Some people might see dead birds and rodents as nasty, but designer Reid Peppard sees them as a style statement, using their corpses in a line of taxidermy jewelry and accessories.
Fashionable folks can wear necklaces with dangling rat feet, hair combs featuring the head of a dead gerbil, or a bowtie made from a dead rodent.
Peppard says people are quick to be disgusted by vermin, and finds it ironic that most are willing to wear rabbit fur or leather but are creeped out by her designs.
She explains, A rat head is definitely a thing of beauty. Its fascinating. I grew up with an aunt who was amazed at the dead things her cat would bring in, so I was raised not going ew to dead animals.
The designer assures that germs are not an issue when working with dead rodents since the taxidermy process sterilizes skin and also because she puts the corpses in her freezer.
