When Todd Lappin couldnt find a place to park his van, he converted his ride into an official-looking vehicle for the company Telstar Logistics, which he completely made up.
By adding a company logo and a few stickers, Lappin found he could park anywhere and never get a ticket, even getting access into closed off areas.
Lappin has created pens, shirts, and stationary bearing his fake companys name, but assures hes not out to trick anyone.
He says, I tell people its fake if they ask. Ive gotten very far that way because they feel theyre in on the joke. They let me do what I want.
The fictional company looks so legit that Lappin has received offers for franchising and even allows his pals to use it on their resume.
