Ron Jones, aka Tattoo Man, is a car enthusiast from Oklahoma who has 82 tattoos of pitstops, cities, and landmarks found along Route 66.
It all began 10 years ago with a small tat of the Route 66 shield. Now, Jones gets new road-related ink every six weeks or so.
The most painful tattoo hes ever gotten is of Roys Cafe in Amboy, California, which creeps along his side.
The one that took the longest is of Talleys Cafe in Tulsa, Oklahoma, requiring three separate sessions to complete.
While hes a wuss when it comes to pain, Jones enjoys commemorating the open road on his flesh, though his 5-foot-7 canvas is running out of space.
Hes a popular attraction at Route 66 events, where he shows off his artwork by wearing muscle shirts, shorts, or a backless leather vest.
