The boob tube has never been as generous with boobies as it has in 2009.
Jim “Mr. Skin” McBride – the nudity buff behind mrskin.com – has released a list of the “Top 10 Nude Scenes Of 2009,” and many of the nip clips come from cable TV.
He says shows like Hung, True Blood, and Californication really “stepped up” this year in terms of daring female nude scenes.
He considers Anna Paquin of True Blood and Eva Amurri of Californication “saviors” of nakedness, especially since nude scenes in big screen movies aren’t what they used to be.
While TV nudity has progressed, movie nudity has scaled back, with “less full-frontal” and big stars showing their girly bits.
Mr. Skin says the “golden era” of film nudity was the ’80s, with raunchy sex comedies like Porky’s.
Still, TV is titillating enough to keep him busy. In 2009 alone, he logged more than 3,000 hours sifting through naked footage, but certainly isn’t complaining.
