Patricia Heaton Feels Job Market Slump

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Having two Emmys doesn’t help Patricia Heaton sleep any better at night in this tough economy.

The former Everybody Loves Raymond mom admits she’s been having job anxiety ever since her last sitcom, Back To You, was canceled.

Although her new show, The Middle, has been picked up for a full season, Heaton still can’t shake those old nightmares about hitting the unemployment line.

Thus, she’s come up with a strategy to secure her job: Read the script.

She explains, “I’m going to finally learn my lines! I’ve been pulling them out of my you-know-what forever, whenever the camera rolls. I’m going to work on that. I want to stay on the air in 2010.”

Heaton believes this is a sure-fire way to stay employed. Of course, having a talented cast around her doesn’t hurt either.

The Middle airs Wednesdays on ABC.
