‘Hootie’ Music Gets Guys Laid

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – Hootie and the Blowfish haven’t released new music in years, but their old jams still get beds rockin’.

Former Hootie frontman Darius Rucker won “Best New Artist” at the Country Music Awards last week, but he’s no stranger to touching people through music – or helping people touch each other.

Rucker says lots of 20-something-year-old dudes who were youngsters when Hootie’s Cracked Rear View album came out still use the jams regularly.

They often tell him how the album helps them seal the deal with the ladies after a big date.

In his words, “I totally dig it. That’s what music is supposed to do – bring people together and help people get laid.”

Although Rucker is currently focusing on his country music career, he and the Hootie crew plan to reunite in the future and make more baby-making tunes.
