Man Draws Everyone In New York

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash - FlashNews) – New Yorkers are all getting their portraits drawn by one man, and it’s going to take forever.

Jason Polan is attempting to draw every single person in New York, parking himself on streets and doodling folks from afar.

He posts his renderings on

Polan has been at it since March 2008 and has drawn 7,000 New Yorkers so far.

Getting every person on paper is going to be tough though, since there are currently 8.3 million people living in the Big Apple.

Polan says, “I’m gonna have to work for a thousand years. At the rate I’m going, it’ll take years and years past my lifetime.”

Luckily, he sees the project as a “forever thing” he can work on for fun.

Those who want to be drawn can send him an email telling him where they’ll be and when. He’ll show up, hiding in the shadows, and sketch them.
